Cardano NFTs will be researched at the University of Oxford
Cardano NFTs (CNFs) have gained great popularity over the past year. So large that they became interested in such research institutions as the University of Oxford.
Catalyst project
As part of her master's thesis on Cardano NFTs at the University of Oxford, the author attempted to raise funds for research from the Catalyst project. It is the world's largest Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). Thanks to this tool, holders of the Cardano cryptocurrency (ADA) gain the opportunity to actively participate in various projects and vote on individual proposals. The condition is that you have a registered wallet with not less than 500 ADA.
Research work
In the planned research on D Cardano NFTs, blockchain technology will be considered as a new art medium. Its analysis can be made on the basis of its products, which are NFT. The case study will be conducted on the basis of unsigned.algorithms, which will make it possible to present the interrelationships between art and blockchain technology. In the planned research, the case study will also cover Non-Fungible Visualizations (NFVs).
At the same time, NFT will be shown in the context of art history, in reference to the artistic activities undertaken over the last seventy years. The aim of the research is to show by its author that blockchain technology, perceived as the medium of art, has an impact on the methods of its conceptualization, creation and reception.
Why Cardano?
From the group of many blockchains used in NFT, Cardano was selected for the research work. An Oxford University student argues that it is based on the Ouroboros protocol, which in turn is based on academic research. This enables Cardano to provide a highly sustainable infrastructure.
A wide range of NFT applications
NFT have recently become more and more popular, therefore the scope of their application is becoming wider and wider. They enable, among others confirmation of the authenticity of works of art and transparent storage of information. This is very well illustrated by the example of the fashion brand for men OriginThread, which introduces users to the history of its clothing. This is of particular importance in the context of the fact that the fashion industry is increasingly often criticized due to quite dubious production conditions and unfair pricing policy.
