In search of new world order dissatisfied countries increasingly like the initiative BRICS: former World Bank contractor
BRICS
In the face of changing geopolitics and growing international tensions, more and more dissatisfied countries are starting to turn away from traditional global structures and are interested in experimenting with alternative models of cooperation. In this context, the group of BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) is increasingly attracting their attention. More and more often you can hear that countries concerned about the dominance of the West and the current world order find in the BRICS a promising alternative.
One voice that reflects these sentiments is a former World Bank contractor. In his statements, he emphasizes that the BRICS initiative has the potential to bring a new balance of power in the international arena and is a response to the frustration of many countries due to their marginalization in the current system. Thanks to their large population, natural resources, dynamic economic growth and trade opportunities, the BRICS countries are able to be a significant force on the world stage.
Within the BRICS, these countries strive to develop strategic partnerships, mutual economic and trade cooperation and strengthen their position in global financial institutions. The introduction of the BRICS National Development Bank and the creation of the BRICS Development Bank and the BRICS Monetary Fund are examples of initiatives that aim to counter dollar dominance and increase the independence of these countries in financing investment and development.
Many critics, however, point to the difficulties the BRICS have to face. Cultural, political and economic differences between group members pose a challenge to achieving full cooperation. Moreover, relations between some of these countries are not always free from tensions and rivalries.
Despite these difficulties, the BRICS continues its efforts to create a new world order.
