Animoca Brands, a company that is a global developer of various types of applications, recently announced that it is extending its cooperation with an IT company Atari, known, among others from the production of the console. Joint activities are to contribute to the popularization of games based on blockchainie.
Known games on blockchain
The cooperation of Animoca Brands with Atari is to lead to the release of well-known blockchain games. We are talking about such famous Atari games as: Centipede®, Pong®, Breakout®, Asteroids®, MissileCommand®, CrystalCastles®, Adventre®, Lunar Lander®, Tempest®, Millipede®, Night Driver®, Agent X®, Space Duel ®, Star Raiders®, Major Havoc®.
Atari VCS
Animoca Brands has gained a monopoly on creating Atari blockchain-based games. Work on them is scheduled to last until the end of September 2022. In addition, Atari also announces the release of the new Atari VCS console. Animoca Brands will be its Asian distributor. It will be a hybrid console, also equipped with a PC mode. Thanks to the possibility of installing operating systems such as Linux, Windows, Steam OS or Chrome OS, it will gain a great potential.
The Atari VCS will be available in two versions: Atari VCS 800 and Atari VCS 400. Each of them will be equipped with a Ryzen processor, 32 Gb Emmc, and, depending on the version, in 6 or 4 GB RAM. In addition, the Atari token is already on sale.
The future of games is blockchain
Frederic Chesnais, Atari CEO, does not hide that he considers expanding the scope of cooperation with Animoca Brands to be a very good decision. There was a great opportunity to integrate the world of games with blockchain technology. Moreover, both companies share the same vision of this integration. In turn, the co-founder of Animoca Brands, Yat Siu, pointed out that thanks to joining forces with Atari, it was possible to enter the blockchain world of classic games.
